Linda’s Story
My name is Linda and I’m a CHD grandparent and member of LHM. My granddaughter Lucy was born with Tricuspid Atresia.
When my daughter found out at her 20 week scan, I was shocked, saddened, but also confused because I had never heard of Tricuspid Atresia. I read books and wanted to find out exactly what it was all about, because I was very worried for both my daughter and granddaughter.
Lucy is now 18 and it has been quite a journey so far. Lucy has bounced back from everything to become the positive and determined young lady she is today, going to university in September, and learning to drive. I burst with pride at everything Lucy does and has accomplished. Over the years I have gained a lot more knowledge about CHD and the challenges surrounding it and my thoughts are with the CHD families this heart month.
