Corporate Support
DVS Property is a family run commercial property business, established in 1985 by Dhiru V Shah. In 2012, Dhiru and his wife Rami Shah decided to formalise their family’s charitable giving by setting up DVS Foundation.
The Foundation’s main areas of focus are the advancement of education, healthcare and food security, both in the UK and East Africa.
“On 20th May 2013 we lost a little family member. He had a hypoplastic left heart.
Little Hearts Matter provided us with much needed support. We found the literature and information provided was of vital guidance and a continuous reference point. It helped us navigate through an unexpected and very complicated medical condition at a very difficult time. We want to ensure everyone facing the challenge has access to this pack.
We are supporting Little Hearts Matter to show our appreciation for their wonderful work and unique help they provide to so many families every year.”
DVS Foundation are providing funding for the production and distribution of our antenatal packs. Thank you to DVS for making this support possible.
In 2023 the Delamere Dairy Foundation awarded Little Hearts Matter a grant of £3,000 to help us keep supporting families on their half a heart journey.
The Delamere Dairy Foundation is an independent charity and a corporate foundation which has received an initial deposit from the Delamere Dairy business of £250,000.
Christine Buckley, appointed to run the Foundation, said: “I am delighted to be supporting the Trustees to ensure that our grants make a significant difference to people’s lives and create an enduring legacy for the Delamere Dairy Foundation.
“Life can be a lottery for some and not everybody is given the same chances. We are building ongoing relationships with local community groups and organisations who encourage community involvement, volunteering and self-help. We are developing grant making programmes that are responsive and take account of changing needs.”
We were delighted to be contacted by The Equilibrium Charitable Foundation to say that one of their employees had nominated LHM to receive an incredible donation of £10,000! Employee Jordan was inspired to nominate LHM by his brother Johnny who took on an incredible year-long fitness challenge, completing over 10,000 burpees!
Debbie Jukes, Partner and Head of Client Care at Equilibrium Financial Planning, said: “For sufferers of a single ventricle heart condition and their families, accessing solid information can be difficult so having Little Hearts Matter on hand to give these services free of charge is a lifeline for many people. Being able to support charities such as this through the Equilibrium Foundation and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives is something we’re extremely proud of.”
Suzie Hutchinson, chief executive and service lead here at Little Hearts Matter, said: “The last few years have been challenging ones for the children and families that Little Hearts Matter supports. Never has it been more important for the charity to offer the helping hand to families stressed and frightened by the knowledge that life when you have just half a heart will never be normal. Without the support of organisations like Equilibrium we would not be able to do what we do. More families would be isolated and more children would be frightened. Thank you.”
Mortgage Bureau, one of the UK’s leading mortgage consultants, has been a partner of Little Hearts Matter since 2013. Mark Clouston, Owner, tells us about the partnership to date:
“We’ve been delighted to work in partnership with Little Hearts Matter for a number of years now. It’s a partnership that works because they understand our needs, are incredibly helpful and supportive and we also know because of regular communication exactly where our money is going to help the families and children they help.
We’ve done lots of activities to help LHM including climbing Snowdon and Ben Nevis, we have run auctions online and we donate 5 per cent of every mortgage transaction we secure. We always make sure our staff has the opportunity to get involved in helping the charity by fundraising, volunteering and we always invite LHM to present at our national conference every year.
We’d recommend a partnership with Little Hearts Matter to anyone and hope to continue ours for many years to come.”
