Many of you know that a number of congenital cardiac charities have been working together to get the Department of Work and Pensions to re-introduce information on childhood heart disease in the DLA assessors guidance. Today we have had a letter from the DWP to say that the information will be introduced in February/March, in time for the next round of assessor training. This was a real team effort. National and some local charities and all their members working together to raise awareness and lobby politicians. Well done everyone. See letter.
