My Grandson Louie was born on the 12th July 2008, it was a time of great excitement which was turned on its head. Louie was found to have a serious heart defect and rushed to Birmingham Royal Children’s Hospital, where he was diagnosed with Hyperplastic Left Heart Syndrome! Never heard of it? Nor had we , basically it meant Louie only had one working ventrical , Half a Heart.

Birmingham Childrens Hospital were amazing and performed some pretty intricate operations which, eventually, meant Louie was able to live a good and happy life. The support that Little Hearts Matter gave to my daughters family through such a difficult time was amazing and I just want to show my appreciation by raising funds to enable them to help more families of children with Half a Heart.
